Dear Santa,

by the magic of photoshop Santa and I can be reunitedI really don't need anything this Christmas because I tend to buy the things I want right when I want them. However, when forced to make a list for my hubby I came up with a few ideas of things I would like but don't necessarily need.

For this Christmas I would like the following:
1 Yoga membership - 2 months unlimited $99 at Home Yoga. I hurt my back awhile ago and yoga seems to be one of the best ways to make it feel better.

1 cute laptop case from this place: (I like the blue airplane one - it's snazzy and cool!)

The ipod touch - I was able to play with one of these the other day and, boy howdy Santa, it was neat!

I love gift certificates, some of my favorite places to go are: Glee Day Spa, Nordstrom, Etherea Salon, Lucy, Diamond Nails in Queen Anne, The movies, Panera Bread (yum!), Puma (I love their shoes!). I really enjoy having the freedom to buy something when I feel like it.

Cute yet funny shopping bag from About Attitude: I tend to use plastic bags b/c I reuse t hem for my lunches but this bag would make me want to use it. It's so funny I would laugh and laugh and laugh my way to the checkout stand.

Diamond Earrings (studs or something like this) - I ask for these every year, Santa, and they never come. Have I been naughty?

So anyways, Santa, like I said, I don't really need anything. It was just fun making the list. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Tarah

Rain rain go away...

It's been raining like crazy around here - bridges are collapsing, streets flooded, a section of the interstate is closed... It's crazy. Yeah, we get rain here but not like this...

I own a pair of plain ole blue galoshes (army/navy surplus thank you very much) that I have for going to the dog park. Today they served a higher purpose. Everyone should own a pair - they are great for rainy days.

I went on a search for cute boots and here is what I found:
ROXY PUDDLES BOOTS - "Jump in! The waterproof rain boot is fine. You'll wish you lived in Seattle once you get a hold of these rubber galoshes, featuring a silver metal buckle accent and an all- over print." On sale for $34.99 (I love how they put Seattle in the description of their boots, maybe this will set them straight.)

Target has a huge selection of really cute rainboots on their site. They seem to be about $19.99 but there were a few in the $18.99 range too.

Ok, I'm not one to talk about kids items but these were to cute to pass up... MARY JANE BOOTS $28.00 (on sale for $19.98) "Does your little girl refuse to take off her shiny patent Mary Janes - even when it's raining? These rubber Mary Jane galoshes are just the footwear for her. Even on the rainiest of dress-up days, she can splash in puddles all day long with no warnings about ruining her party shoes. The shiny black rubber Mary Janes are available with pink or white "tights."" I wish these came in my size!!! Ok, maybe not really.

Oh, what a weekend...

My weekend was wonderful! I didn't have to really work on Friday due to my departments holiday party at Jillian's. It was nice having the day free after the party ended at 3pm-ish. I just went home and made flyer's and tea cup signs for the models for the Saturday show...

Saturday day, Regina and I headed down to the Urban Craft Uprising. Dawn and her family showed up to shop as well. We stopped by and said hello to some of our vendor friends (Tara, Erica, Marlo, Sam, Gunlis...) I bought several Christmas gifts and even a few items for myself. The show has 200 vendors so it's easy to find something for everyone!

Regina the reindeerSaturday night was the Defmode Midnight Market that UFN has been helping with... Several folks were worried no one show up due to the snow. (Oh yeah, did I mention it started snowing?) Thankfully the snow fall didn't hinder the party being a success. I can only speak for myself but I had a great time, I will assume that Regina did as well (I'm sure she'll blog about it too)! I met so many cool new people (Tim, DJ Snax (AKA Matt), Brad, Karl, Michael, Wesley, David, Gwen, Susan, Rachael, etc... I wish I could name them all, there were just to many of them - they all rocked!!). I was worried I would be exhausted by 2am since I tend to hit the hay by midnight... I survived!

Philo of LiministThe evening was packed full of vendors selling, patrons shopping, partying, art work, drinking, DJ's spinning tunes, a fashion show, the infamous photo booth, and lots of fun.

We, of course, had several pictures taken from Liminist.com, which should be up on their site soon. I can't wait to see them as we had some pretty funny one's taken with lots of people!

I added some pictures from Defmode, check them out.

This morning I woke up (it was quite a struggle, I tell ya what...) and headed to Shilshole Bay Beach Club for the Ladies Who Launch Holiday Show. The show went pretty well considering the dreary weather. I sold a few items and did some valuable networking, which is always a nice thing! Here are the photos from that show!

Hope you had a good weekend too - what did you end up doing?
